News of Note:

1. Use of Operating Reserves for Capital Improvements. This PIH notice 2012-43 extends the obligation deadline in Section 6 of Notice PIH 2012-2 to March 31, 2013. Notice Expires: March 31, 2013.

2. Section Eight Management Assessment Program Guidance. The purpose of the notice is to clarify certain issues regarding the submission, scoring, and appeal process for the Section Eight Management Assessment Program (SEMAP). Moving to Work (MTW) agencies are exempt from SEMAP as stated in their respective MTW agreements.
