News of Note:

1. PIH 2012-38 (HA) provides instructions on the application for Emergency Capital Needs funding using Fiscal Year 2012 funds. This notice only includes guidelines for emergency safety funding and does not apply to funding for unforeseen or unpreventable emergency or for non-presidentially declared natural disasters.

2. Section 8 Renewal Policy Guide Comments due November 13, 2012. HUD issued a Notice of Proposed Information Collection (PDF | Text | More) on September 11^th soliciting comments from members of the public and affected agencies regarding the Section 8 Renewal Policy Guide published by HUD on August 8, 2012 (PDF | Text | More).
