1. Final Rule on Section 232 LEAN Program. Effective October 9^th, this final rule revises HUD's Office of Healthcare Programs' Section 232 program regulations in respect of current policy and practices and in order to improve accountability and mitigate risk in the Section 232 program, which insures mortgage loans to facilitate the construction, substantial rehabilitation, purchase, and refinancing of nursing homes, intermediate care facilities, board and care homes, and assisted living facilities.
