News of Note:  On Tuesday, February 7th, the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Insurance, Housing and Community Opportunity marked up the Revised Affordable Housing Self-Sufficiency Improvement Act (AHSSIA), the most recent proposed reform legislation regarding the Section 8 tenant-based and project-based programs and public housing.  Click here for Notices of the Markup, as well as the most current drafts of the bill.

This Notice provides guidance on the factors that HUD will consider in determining whether to consent to a taking of public housing property that was developed/acquired by, or is maintained with funds from the United States Housing Act of 1937 (the "Act") by a governmental or quasi-governmental body using eminent domain authority ("Taking Body").


 

Implementation of the Federal Fiscal Year 2012 Funding Provisions for the Housing Choice Voucher Program

The purpose of this Notice is to provide tribes and tribally designated housing entities (TDHE) who are recipients of federal funds with information about the exclusion of certain veteran's benefits from income calculations.
