Greetings!

I wish you every happiness in the New Year, and hope you had a blessed Christmas or Hanukkah.

As you take down the tree, tinsel and lights, here are a few tips to help reduce holiday clutter in the New Year. These ideas apply to decorations for any holiday, and at work or home.

Decorations: If some of your decorations didn't make it out of the box, it's usually a sign that it is time to move them on (donate or toss). A person will display the decorations she loves, and those that hold special meaning.

Ornaments: If some of your ornaments are tired and worn, it may be time to replace them. For example, if a favorite relative made you an ornament twenty years ago and it doesn't look that special anymore, you can take a picture of it, and let the actual ornament go.

Storing Decorations: If the quantity of decorations you have is more than your storage space allows, then give yourself the one in/one out rule. This means get rid of one old decoration for every new one you buy.

May you and yours have a happy, prosperous, and organized New Year!
