Happy Holidays!

Welcome to the December issue of lemonade. This season, I'd like to remind you to make an effort to shop locally as much as possible. In some cases you can even support Aquidneck Island charities while doing so. Two suggestions include purchasing a holiday wreath at Lucy's Hearth Designer Wreath & Bake Sale, on Saturday, 12/7 at Easton's Beach Rotunda from 9am-12N and/or shop at the Potter League for glitter critter jewelry and more at their Holiday Craft Fair on 12/15 and 12/15 from 10am-4pm.

I wish each of you a happy, healthy holiday season & a peaceful new year!

SantaCon Newport The 43rd Annual Christmas in Newport opens tonight (12/1) with the annual tree lighting in Washington Square. Other festive events include the Norman Bird Sanctuary's Holly Days and Bowen's Wharf Tree Lighting on 12/7. Cluny School's Living Nativity will be held on 12/9 with a raindate of 12/16. Seaman's Church Institute's Holiday Glow is on 12/14 and St. Georges 102nd Annual Medieval Christmas Pageant will be held on 12/17. For something completely different... meet-up in Washington Square on 12/7 for SantaCon Newport a non-denominational, non-commercial, non-political and nonsensical gathering of folks dressed as Santa Claus that occurs once a year for absolutely no reason. The fun gets underway starting at noon, join in a silly Santa sack race, trivia and dance contests.
