Thursday, Aug. 25, 6:30 p.m. in The Commons. Gain insight and resources to make the most of your child's senior year and college planning.

Do you have a 90.0 or higher cumulative GPA?
Apply to be a member of the Brookwood Beta Club if you are in grades 10-12, have a 90.0 cumulative GPA, and have a clean discipline record. Turn in a completed application form from our Beta Club page by Friday, Sept. 2, to Room B35. Returning Betas must reapply.

Our on-campus student parking lot is full.
To apply for a parking permit at an off-campus parking lot, contact the church offices of Grace (770-979-7000) or Cannon (770-972-5463). To secure a $3, one-day parking permit on campus for emergency purposes only, see Mrs Campbell in A36.

SAT/ACT Prep Courses and Practice Tests
Total Learning Concepts and C2 Education are offering free, on-site practice tests in August and later this fall. Visit our Counseling page under the Directory tab on the BHS website, and click College Planning to view details. 

Driver Education Class Offered On Campus
Registration is now open for the Brookwood Community School Driver Education class (Sept. 13 - Oct. 4). Class meets Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 until 5:30 p.m. and costs $345. Attention: Senior Boys
Join the fun vying for the crown of Mr. Brookwood. Sign up in D6 by Sept. 16 to participate. There will be a few required rehearsals before the show on Sept. 30. The Mr. Brookwood show is produced and sponsored by the BHS Dance Department.

Philanthropic Highlight

Crayon and Coloring Book Drive 
for Child Patients at Gwinnett Medical Center

From now until September 1, bring your new and unused sets of crayons and coloring books to Room B8. All items will be donated to Gwinnett Medical Center. SGA members who donate may receive points. This drive is sponsored by BHS FBLA.

FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America)
Aug. 18, 2:15 p.m. in B11, ice cream social for all interested in joining this award-winning club. Dues are $25. FBLA empowers students with the necessary skills and resources to exceed. It's also a lot of fun.

Drama Club

Robotics Club 2016-2017
Wednesday, Aug. 24. 2:20 p.m in B13. Interested in robotics or engineering? Come learn about the club. There will be food too. Returning members: See Mrs. Schneider in B13, and pay dues before the meeting. 

French Club
Thursday, Aug. 25, 2:25 p.m. in A24. Pay annual club dues prior to the meeting, then kick off the year eating ice cream and tie-dying the French Club T-shirt. Shirts are $12 and are not included in the dues. Buy one at the meeting or anytime first semester. 

Latin Club
Thursday, Aug. 25, 2:20 p.m. in the Maroon Gym Lobby. Calling all Latin students to come to the annual ice cream social. Please pay dues online.
 
Dance Club Offering Free Zumba for Students
Friday, Aug. 26, 2:30 - 3:30 p..m. in D6. It's free and open to all BHS students. This session is the first Fitness Thursday program offering for the year.

FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes)
Wednesday, Sept. 7, 6:30 a.m. in the lodge across from the old field house. FCA is a club for all students (not just athletes) to gather with friends through games, lessons and worship. See Ms. Knight in C4.
