Academics and Administration

Winter break begins on Monday, December 21. 
When students return to school on Wednesday, Jan. 6, they must report directly to their Guided Study classroom to pick up their second semester schedules, then proceed to first period. Have a fun and safe vacation, Broncos!  

Is technology on your child's wish list?
GCPS encourages students to take advantage of the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) policy. If you plan to buy a laptop or tablet, consider these features. 

To gift wrap your new devices or any gifts, bring the items to the Brookwood Color Guard and Band Assoc. gift-wrap service event on Dec. 20, 2-5 p.m. at About Face,Mind and Body on Janmar Road. Donations raised will benefit the band's upcoming trip to London.

Take the 5-minute GA Schools' Parent Survey
part of a statewide effort to help determine school climate. This survey is different from the recent GCPS Perception Survey. Here is the link.

Students in Honors Spanish 3 or 4 or AP Spanish will take the National Spanish Exam in March. The registration fee is $6 and can be paid online at MyPaymentsPlus through Jan. 27.  (Look for "National Spanish Exam" under the Testing tab.)
