Academics and Administration

Wednesday, Nov. 11, Veterans Day, 6-9 p.m. Brookwood salutes our military veterans by hosting the Remembering Our Fallen traveling exhibit in The Commons. It will be open to the public on Wednesday evening only and on display all week for our students.

BHS-customized Wounded Warrior Project T-shirts are for sale through Nov. 11 for $15, with all proceeds going to WWP. Buy them at the school store or during lunch in The Commons or online at MyPaymentsPlus. (Shirts listed at the bottom tab: School Store). Exchange a printed receipt for a shirt at the school store in B Hall.

12-week progress reports will be handed out during Guided Study classes on Friday, Nov. 6. Students failing two or more classes must attend Academic Intervention (see below).

Academic Intervention (AI) begins Nov. 12.
Students failing two or more classes on the 12-week progress report ARE REQUIRED to attend AI in the Gold Gym during the FIRST 35 MINUTES of the extended lunch period every Tuesday and Thursday and on designated Wonderful Wednesdays. Students will no longer receive individual paper notices to attend. They will be allowed to eat lunch the last 17 minutes of extended lunch.

  • Thursday, Nov. 12: Report to AI (Gold Gym).

Our cafeteria serves breakfast at no charge to ensure students are well-fueled for school. Students are welcome to stop by before 7:20 a.m. Download the Nutrislice app to find out what is for breakfast and lunch.

The ASVAB Interpretation session is Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 9:30 a.m. in the Maroon Gym lobby. Students will receive a notice in class to attend.

Last Chance for Senior Pictures is Nov. 10.
If you have not yet taken your senior pictures for the yearbook, this is the last opportunity. Come to the Maroon Gym lobby on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2:30 - 5 p.m.

Seniors planning to take the SAT have a few more opportunities to take a current version before March.
