Academics and Administration

Daylight Savings ends on Sunday, Nov. 1. Before you go to bed on Saturday night, "fall back" one hour. 

Students receive 12-week progress reports in their Guided Study classrooms on Friday, Nov. 6.

If you are taking the SAT on Nov. 7, take advantage of these FREE SAT review videos in the Media Center, Nov. 2 to Nov. 5, 2:30 to 3 p.m.

Students who took the ASVAB in September: 
The ASVAB Interpretation session is Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 9:30 a.m. in the Maroon Gym lobby. Students will receive a notice in class to attend.

Brookwood Math Team will compete on Saturday, Oct. 31 in the Rockdale Mathematics Competition at Rockdale Magnet School. Teams from Crews and Five Forks will join them to compete at the middle school level.

Oct. 30 and 31 in Athens, GA. Brookwood has 15 chorus members in the GMEA District 13 Honor Chorus events.

Miss Brookwood Scholarship Pageant Applications
Download a contestant application here or at the PTSA website and return it along with the $35 entry fee on Dec. 3 in The Commons (or hand it in early to Mrs. Grassmyer in the Clinic).  Also available are applications for seniors who are interested in being an escort or emcee.

Softball
Oct. 30-31 State Tournament @ Columbus. Our Lady Broncos are in the FINAL FOUR and play again tonight, Friday, Oct. 30, 7 p.m. Keep up with the games on the GHSA website

Our boys' and girls' cross country teams will be defending their region titles this Saturday. Brookwood enters as the team favorite in the 8-AAAAAA meet.
Cross Country
Oct. 31, Region Championship @ Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers. Take a look at the course. Start times: 3:30 p.m. Varsity Girls, 4 p.m. Varsity Boys, 4:30 p.m. JV Girls and 5 p.m. JV Boys. Meet admission: $5 adults, $3 students.

Basketball
Basketball teams have been selected and will open play Nov. 10 in a scrimmage at South Forsyth. The home opener is Nov. 17 vs Peachtree Ridge.
