Academics 

PTSA Open House: Monday, September 14
6:45-8:30 p.m. - Please bring your child's schedule or arrive early to obtain a copy from our counselors; they will be in The Commons beginning at 6:15 p.m. to help before the meeting. Immediately following our PTSA meeting in The Commons, parents will walk their students' schedules, visiting each classroom to meet teachers and hear 8-minute course overviews. 


Register for the PSAT for your freshman or junior by Oct. 1 via MyPaymentsPlus for $15. Sophomores are automatically registered at no charge. The PSAT test will be given during school on Oct. 14. 


Women in Engineering
BHS girls interested in engineering are invited to learn about Georgia Tech's 11 engineering programs. Click the flyer to the left to register. This event fills up quickly each year; act fast.

Performing & Fine Arts

Theater
Thursday and Saturday, Sept. 17 and 19, 7 p.m. in the Theater. Advance tickets for $7 go on sale Monday during lunch; tickets are $10 at the door. "Play On" is a  hilarious story of a theater group trying desperately to put on a play despite maddening interference and revisions from the author.

Orchestra
Sat. 19, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Fundraising car wash: Enjoy a little live music and buy a Krispy Kreme doughnut or two while you wait. Advance Auto on Five Forks and Dogwood Roads, $5.

The Great American Rivalry returns to Snellville, when we take on Parkview in the Battle of Five Forks. 
  • The first 5,000 to enter the gate will receive an American flag, courtesy of the Class of 2016. 
  • During halftime, the top senior student-athlete from each school will receive a Rivalry Scholar Athlete Scholarship Award. 
  • We also find out if we won Thursday's Chin-up Challenge against Parkview.

National English Honor Society (NEHS)
Thursday, Sept. 17, 2:20 p.m. in A202 is the first meeting of the year. Membership is open to juniors and seniors with a 3.0 or higher in Language Arts. Current and prospective members must attend. See Dr. Simmons with questions.
