Academics 

Parents of Juniors: Register for $15 by Sept. 15 via MyPaymentsPlus for the PSAT at school on Oct. 14. Consider it a "test drive" of the new SAT format. The PSAT during junior year is also a required element for National Merit Scholarship consideration. Freshmen may also register for the test. Sophomores are automatically registered without charge.

Visit the BHS College and Career Room in A1. It is an open resource to research colleges, vocational and technical schools, careers and scholarships. It houses research materials, catalogs, videos and software programs, SAT and ACT registration packets, and has Internet access. See the Senior Bulletin too for info.

Open House at BHS
Monday, Sept. 14, 6:45 p.m., will be our first PTSA meeting and open house, when parents walk their students' schedules, visiting each classroom for 8-minutes for a teacher overview.

SAT prep classes offered through the BHS Community School begin Sept 15. Click the blue link or visit Office A3 for the schedule, price and registration form. 

The C2 Test Prep Challenge awards a $1,000 cash prize for the highest practice exam score in our area. See information here on the Oct. 10 event. Other free practice events for 10th and 11th graders will be held Sept. 5, 12 and 14.

Campus News 

Donate crayons/coloring books for the Gwinnett Medical Center drive by Monday, Aug. 31. Drop them off at Mr. Davis' classroom B8.

Fitness Tuesdays are free. Sept. 1 it's Zumba, and each month it will be a different dance or theme. Come 2:30-3:30 p.m. to Dance Room D6. Wear running shoes/activewear.
