Shark Tank Gwinnett-style 

May 6, 3-5 p.m. at Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, BHS student entrepreneurs will pitch their businesses to local angel investors who have a $2,000 investment pool. The participating Broncos who earned student business licenses from the City of Snellville are: Jim Walker (Phoenix Ironworks), Sydney Wiley (Live Love Monogram), and Brandon Brayboy, Joey Negron, Johnny Acosta and Andrew Lawson (Nos Silva). 

 

Cafeteria accounts in May

Students will not be able to charge meals if their cafeteria account balance is insufficient. Please ensure that they have enough money in their account to last the reminder of the school year. If you have questions, contact our school nutrition manager, Mr. Mallard, at 678-344-6301.

 

May 1: Deadline for Textbooks and Media Center

Students must pay book fees in order to take exams on scheduled exam days. For lost or damaged textbooks, payments must be in the form of cash or money order and brought to any grade-level office. All Media Center books and fees are also due May 1. Any Media Center questions, contact Mrs. Barnes at 678-344-3723.

 

Parents of Rising Seniors: May 15 Deadline

Yearbook distribution is Friday, May 8.
Distribution will be in the Gold Gym lobby during lunch. Students must show ID to pick up a reserved order. On Monday, May 11, extra books will be on sale after school in A23 fpr $100 (cash/money order only).

Snellville Days at Brisco Park

May 2, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. (10 a.m. parade begins) and May 3, 12 - 5 p.m. BHS's cheerleaders, drum line, SGA and winner of the Snellville Days t-shirt design contest, Michelle Carmona, will march in the Saturday 10 a.m. parade. Enjoy a day of food and activities.

Order Final Transcripts
Seniors attending college in the fall must submit a completed BLUE request form, college address and $5 transcript fee at the Career Room. Student athletes who filed for NCAA Clearinghouse eligibility must request a final transcript for NCAA too.

Spring Chorus Concert
May 1, 7 p.m. in the Theater. All BHS choruses, several soloists and small groups will perform Disney works, ranging from Snow White to the present. Tickets are $5.

Spring Band Concert
May 5, 6 p.m. in The Commons. Maroon and Gold Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band and Symphonic Winds.

Spring Dance Show
May 7, 8 and 9 at 7 p.m. in the Theater. Advance tickets are $7 and will be on sale during lunch, Monday through Friday, May 4-8. Tickets at the door are $10.

Brookwood Jazz Bands
May 11, 6:30 p.m. "Night of Jazz" in the BHS Theater. Free admission. The Jazz Combo, Maroon Jazz Band, and Gold Jazz Band will perform a variety of music, including jazz standards, New Orleans influenced Big Band, and hip-hop infused jazz fusion.

Spring Album Release
EQUINOX features 34 original BHS compositions and is available for free download on SoundCloud.com. Since Brookwood began its Sound Cloud album project three years ago, it has generated 22,000 plays worldwide. Music to our ears!
