March 18 and 31: If you would like a cap and gown portrait, sign up in B27.   

March 19Balfour returns to The Commons to accept $100 graduation fees, payable by cash or check. This is the final chance to pay $100. Otherwise, visit Balfour.com and pay $105. Dues increase to $125 in April.

 

Parents of 11th Graders

If you missed Junior Parent Night or the March 6 session, our counselors will hold one more informational session about graduation requirements and college applications on Monday, March 16, 8 a.m. in the Maroon Gym.   

Parents of 10th Graders

Do you have a current sophomore who is passionate about Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Fine Arts and is considering a career in one of those areas? If so, the Brookwood STEAM Program might be a perfect fit. Find more information on our STEAM website. Applications are due on March 25.  

 

Lindsay Saul, Kasey Carr and Abi Ivemeyer earned a 
2nd place ribbon at the Gwinnett Regional Science 
Fair. Brookwood sent 27 students and 16 projects to 
the fair; three won first place to qualify for State: 
Rylee Mercer, Jasmine Ito and Brian Cho.

Free Tutoring, No Scheduling Required

Tutoring by the Beta Club is offered daily, Monday - Thursday, 2:25-3:25 p.m. in Room B35. Students are invited to stay the full hour or just enough time to get an answer to a question.

Doors open at 7 p.m. Meet with more than 15 companies seeking responsible teen employees.

 

Taste of Brookwood 

March 28, 5-8 p.m. Area restaurants, vendors will fill The Commons. Jazz performances and a silent auction. Each $12 tickets = 5 tastes of food, drink and dessert. Visit Taste of Brookwood for details.

 

Goodwill Donation Drive 

During March 6-19, Brookwood is collecting donationsl for the Goodwill of North Georgia. See the collection times when reps will accept items on site in our parking lot. Students may drop off donations at collection bins in the school or in Guided Study.


 

Brookwood Volleyball Academy

Introduction to the sport for kids, 4th to 8th grade. Boys are welcome too.  April 14 - May 14, Tuesdays and Thursday.  See the website for more details.

Readers Rally Championship

Tuesday, March 17, BHS faces 
Peachtree Ridge at the county championship at the GCPS-TV studio in Suwannee.  The event will air on March 23-29 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. See photos from last week's Division II victory.

 

International Club will host a Holi (spring festival) event on Wednesday, March 18, 2:30-3:30 p.m. in T5.

Ultimate Frisbee

March 22, Inferno comes to the BHS stadium for the first time. Round robin event with area high schools and a showcase by the Atlanta professional Ultimate team, Atlanta Hustle. Details to come. Ticket and concession sales will benefit Relay For Life.
