If your student takes an AP course and wants to take the AP exam, register on MyPaymentsPlus. Information about the exams can be found at this link or on the BHS website under Academics.

The Gwinnett County Regional Science and Engineering Fair is today, Feb. 27, at the Gwinnett Center in Duluth. The Project Exhibit is open to the public, beginning at 4 p.m.  Brookwood has 27 students representing 16 projects.

Grayson Technical Education Open House

March 3, 6:30-8 p.m. at Grayson High School (50 Hope Hallow Road). Rising juniors and seniors are eligible for the 2015-2016 school year. Apply at GraysonTech.org.

9th grade spring pictures have been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 4, during Language Arts. 

After-school tutoring offered by Beta Club is free, Monday through Thursday, 2:25-3:25 p.m. in Room B35. Drop by for any amount of time for help.

Free SAT/ACT Prep Sessions in March:

• Total Learning Concepts is offering a full-length practice test, a score report and in-person meeting at BHS on March 9, 5-8:30 p.m. To reserve a seat, call 770-381-5958.
• Kaplan Test Prep is offering online cram sessions, its Top 10 Score-Raising Strategies and time management tips. To register, visit Kaplan online.
• BHS Media Center is offering 30-minute SAT prep video sessions after school. Critical Reading, Vocabulary and Writing (including an introduction to the SAT, The Brain Power Method and sentence completions): 3/3, 3/4 and 3/5.  Math: 3/9, 3/10, 3/11 and 3/12.

Broad Prize Scholarship Deadline: March 3

Eligibility: Seniors must be a U.S. citizen and on tract to graduate in May, plan to attend a post-secondary school, show academic improvement from 9th grade to 11th grade as measured by an improved GPA and/or class rank and demonstrate financial need. An application is available online.
