Academics

Monday, February 16, is a STUDENT HOLIDAY in recognition of Presidents' Day. Enjoy the three-day weekend.

 

9th and 10th Grade Parents

Thursday, Feb. 19, at 7-8 p.m. in the Theater, BHS will present information about college exploration and admissions to parents of underclassmen.

 

If your student takes an AP course and wants to take the AP exam, the last day to register for a test is March 9. Find payment and scheduling information at this link or on the BHS website under Academics.

 

Help is available; students just need to show up.

After-school tutoring offered by Beta Club is free, Monday through Thursday, 2:25-3:25 p.m. in Room B35. Drop by for any amount of time for help.


BHS PTSA Scholarship 

PTSA will award $1,000 scholarships to two BHS seniors to study at any technical school, junior college or four-year college. Only seniors who are PTSA members are eligible to apply. Download an application by clicking the orange link on the top right corner of the PTSA page on the BHS website

Students must request a pass from the Counseling Office prior to the day of the visit.

 

                                Pay Graduation Cap and Gown fees on Feb. 19 in The Commons during any lunch period.  Balfour will return on Thursdayto accept seniors' $100 dues in cash or with a check payable directly to Balfour. Otherwise, dues are $105 via Balfour.com. On April 1, dues increase to $125.

College-Bound Broncos

Seniors who have accepted a college offer should add their information to the clip board in the 11th/12th grade office, Room A36, to ensure recognition in B Hall.

 

Seniors: Gwinnett Braves Job Shadow Program

The Gwinnett Braves will sponsor four BHS seniors for its March 20 program. Applications are available in the Counseling Office. The deadline is Feb. 23.

Results of Dance Marathon

Last Friday's dance marathon raised 

$8,078.12 for Children's Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, bringing our current total in the $100K Challenge to $56,365.

Sutton Thompson celebrates her win with Assistant Principal Dave Cashman at the Brookwood-Parkview Photo Showdown: Growth and Decay. Sutton placed first and fellow Bronco Sam Moore second in the "growth" category. The exhibit is on display at 1910 Public House in Lilburn until Monday, Feb. 16.
