At this week's Pink Out game against Berkmar, both of our varsity teams won on the court. Off of the court,
the Broncos teamed up with Berkmar to support the American Cancer Society's Coaches vs. Cancer campaign.
Both booster clubs donated $100, and each side encouraged fans in the stands to contribute. 

Academics

 

AP Parent Night
Monday, Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. in The Commons. Parents and prospective AP students are invited to learn more about AP credits, Brookwood's AP classes and the teachers who teach them.


Registration for AP exams is open until March 9. Find information about the exams at this link or on our website under Academics.

 

After-school tutoring offered by our Beta Club is available Mondays through Thursdays, 2:25-3:25 p.m. in Room B35. Drop by for any amount of time during the hour for help with a variety of subjects.

 

Seniors who have not paid graduation fees will have the chance to pay the $100 directly to Balfour on Feb. 19 in The Commons during all lunches periods.

 

College Bound Broncos

Seniors who have accepted a college offer should add their information to the clip board in the 11th/12th grade office, Room A36, to ensure recognition on the wall display in B Hall.

Movie Night in The Commons for Kids

Friday, Jan. 30, 7 p.m. (exclusively for BHS Cluster elementary school students and their parents) Donate $5 to Make-A-Wish Foundation.  Parents are free and must accompany children. Bring blankets and pillows for comfort.  Concession items are $1. 


 

Read & Feed

The Media Center has launched a reading incentive program encouraging students to add 

their name to a box in the Media Center every time they finish reading a book. Toward the end of the semester, our media specialists will draw names for a list of students to attend a special catered lunch at school. 


 

Recreational League Baseball and Softball 

Register children, ages 3-18, online through Jan. 31 at the Brookwood Athletic Association for Baseball and Softball website (BAAB).


Miss Brookwood Scholarship Pageant

Saturday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. in the Theater. Tickets will be on sale at The Commons Concession before school beginning on Feb. 4 at 6:55 a.m. ($15 cash only)

The Broncos made a splash at County. Our girls won the Gwinnett title, and our boys placed fourth. Overall, Brookwood was the highest scoring school.

Feb. 5-7, The BHS Theater Department is taking 36 students to the Georgia Thespian Conference in Columbus.

 

Dance Department Auditions

Feb. 24, 2:30 p.m. in the Dance Room (D6). Any students interested in taking a dance class during the 2015-2016 school year must attend the audition. No dance experience necessary. See Ms. McCollister (D6) for details.

Jan. 31 @ Georgia Sports Park. BHS will play in a round robin tournament sponsored by the Atlanta Flying Disc Club (AFDC) high school spring league.

Mock Trial Team

Fencing Club

Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, Brookwood fencers will compete in the Mill Creek & Peachtree Mills Tournament @ UNG.

 

NAHS and Art Club

Feb. 3, 2:30-3:30 p.m. in B17. Make a "wish necklace" for your Valentine. (The Art Club is open to all students, no art class required. Join on MyPaymentsPlus.)

 

Relay for Life
