Georgia Tech admissions officers visited Brookwood this week
to congratulate 30 senior Broncos who were offered early admission to  their school. 
Academics

There will be no school on Monday, 

Jan. 19, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.


After-school, peer tutoring has resumed for the second semester, Mondays through Thursdays, 2:25-3:25 p.m. in Room B35. Drop by for any amount of time during the hour for help with a variety of subjects. Sponsored by BHS Beta Club.

Rising 9th Graders' Parent Night 
Monday, Jan. 26, 6-9 p.m. in assigned classrooms 

Peer Leader applications are due on Jan. 21. Interested 10th and 11th grade students may obtain one online here or from Room A1. 

Interested in dual enrollment? Attend the parent meeting, Jan. 29 at 7 p.m. in the Media Center. 

 

Upcoming college visits at Brookwood:

 - Valdosta State University, Jan. 20, 2nd period

 - Shorter University, Jan. 23, 4th period

Students must request a pass from the Counseling Office prior to the day of the visit.

 

Seniors who have accepted a college offer:       

Add your information to the clip board in the 11th/12th grade office, Room A36, to ensure you are included in the "College Bound Broncos" display in B Hall.

classes and videos. Kaplan Test Prep is offering a promotional discount until Jan. 30.

- Friday, Jan. 23 -Girls

Otherwise, seniors may pay online but will incur a $5 processing fee. In April, graduation dues increase to $125. Order early to reserve a gown with an emblem.

Friday, Jan. 16, 
7:30 p.m., the Theater. Vote for your favorite among 20 acts. Tickets are $8 at the door, if available.  

For the Youngsters:
Movie Night in PJ's
Friday, Jan. 30, 7 p.m., in The Commons. Donate $5 to Make-A-Wish Foundation, and see Frozen. Parents must accompany elementary school children (no extra donation required for parents). Bring a blanket or pillow for comfort. All concession items are $1. 

On-campus parking (2015-2016 school year)

Jan. 19 - Feb. 6, Piedmont College's High School Art Show will feature nine works from BHS students in the Smith-Williams Gallery. A reception in the gallery will be held on Jan. 29, 5-7 p.m.

Brookwood will send 21 Broncos to the State Indoor Winter Games, Jan. 23-25, in Cobb County. Let's wish our three basketball teams and three individual bowlers the best of luck! 

Readers Rally will meet Thursday, Jan. 22, at 2:30 p.m. in the Media Center.
