 All four teams won 1st place (Boys' Varsity and JV and Girls' Varsity and JV).  What's more, Varsity runners David Giuliano and Lauren Flynt came in first individually, as did Gruem Tesfamariam and Aalayah Foster.

Fine Arts

Dance

November 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the Theater. The final showing of "NOW," featuring dance interpretations of what's happening in the world today.  Tickets: $10

"NOW" is BHS's dance production that is 
inspired by current events and fueled by emotions.

Visual Arts

November 8, Georgia Ceramics Show and Art Symposium at The Center in Newnan.  Twelve BHS sculptures in the show. Awards ceremony, 3:00 p.m.

 

Musical Theater 

November 8, 4:00 p.m. State Championship, One Act Play, at Veterans High, Kathleen, GA.  BHS performs Urinetown. All are welcome, and it's free admission.
 

Chorus 

Brookwood students earned 20 spots in the GMEA District Honor Chorus, and five Broncos earned a soloist position out of only 13 openings. Pictured are soloists Daniel Boaitey, Amanda Lund, Katelyn Mayo and Annie Thomas.  Missing is Alexandra Backfish.

Connect to Brookwood 

Annual Arts & Crafts Fair at BHS, sponsored by the Brookwood Tip Off Club/Basketball Booster Club, is November 8, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 

Brookwood Youth Wrestling walk-up registration date has been changed to November 12, 6:00-8:00 p.m. during the BHS team Wrestle Off in the Gold Gym.  Find more information online

 

Brookwood Coed Basketball registration is available online and is open to boys and girls, 6-18.

 

Drivers Education offered through the Brookwood Community School begins November 12.  See informationregister at the Community School Office.

 

HHH Week is filled with fund-raising activities to benefit Helping Hearts and Hands, our school's organization that assists those in our community who are in need.  The week runs Wednesday to Wednesday, Nov. 13 - 20.

 

Clubs 

Art Club will meet November 11, 2:20 p.m. in B16 for bleach-printing T-shirts. Members should bring a dark, 100% cotton T, kitchen gloves and a design.

 

During Red Ribbon Week, our SADD Club collected hundreds of signature pledges to remain drug-free.
