Academics

Gwinnett County Public Schools is a finalists for the 2014 Broad Prize, the largest education prize in the country. To support our race to the top, we hope you'll tweet and post @GwinnettSchools and #broadprize on Facebook or Twitter stating what you like most about our schools. 


If you've signed up to be a tutor, then you must attend one Training for Academic Intervention session, either September 16 or September 18. See Ms. Wrigley in A34 for details. (Tutoring is also a great way to earn one hour of service hour credits.)

  

9th, 11th graders wanting to take the PSAT, must visit MyPaymentsPlus by October 1 to pay the $15 fee.  All 10th grade students will take the PSAT free of charge, no registration necessary.

Marching Band

September 20, 10:00 a.m. - 3:15 p.m., is the 2014 Gwinnett County Marching Band Exhibition at Collins Hill High.  Each of the 18 GCPS high schools will perform one 15-minute routine. Brookwood takes the field at 1:30 p.m.

September 30, 7:00 p.m. Fall Concert in the Theater. "Fall Into Harmony"  Free admission.

Brookwood Volleyball Academy (BVA) for 5th to 8th graders runs Tuesdays and Thursdays, September 16 - October 16. BVA provides fundamental instruction and basic game strategies for younger athletes interested in learning the sport.  

Interact Club, sponsored by the South Gwinnett Rotary Club, holds its first meeting of the year September 18, 2:20 p.m. in B32.
