Movie Night in The Commons, Friday, September 5, at 7:30 p.m. Hosted by the Student Government Association (SGA), tickets cost $5, with all proceeds going to the Southeast Gwinnett Co-op Ministry. Popcorn, candy and soda cost $1 each. Bring a blankets to relax, but no chairs please. 

 

PTSA Open House is Monday, September 8, 6:45 p.m.  We invite all parents to attend and have the chance to walk your student's schedule, meet your student's teachers, and sit through individual course presentations. 

 

School picture retakes with Magic Moment Photography are September 9 in the Maroon Gym Lobby.  Underclassmen come during their Language Arts class, and seniors come 2:00-5:00 p.m. 

Would you like to be a tutor? 10-12th grade students interested and eligible to tutor BHS peers must attend one Training for Academic Intervention session, either September 16 or September 18. See Ms. Wrigley in A34 for details. (Tutoring is also a great way to earn one hour of service hour credits.)

  

9th, 11th graders interested in taking the PSAT must visit MyPaymentsPlus by October 1 to pay the $15 fee.  All 10th grade students take the PSAT free of charge, no registration necessary.  


 

BHS's SAT Prep Class starts September 16.

Drama Club members transform into a human pretzel following their first meeting. What will they do next?

Marching Band

September 20 marks the 2014 Gwinnett County Marching Band Exhibition at Collins Hill High. All 18 GCPS high schools will perform, each one for 15 minutes, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.  Brookwood performs at 1:30 p.m.

Club Fair in F-Hall -- Come early to explore!
September 9-11, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings, 6:45-7:15 a.m., BHS club members and sponsors will be located throughout F-Hall to answer questions and invite you to join.

Wonderful Wednesday "Open Mic" is on September 10, students will display their talents in a performers' showcase in the Media Center during all lunch periods. You'll see singers, magicians, jokesters and more.

See Ms. Ellen in D6 by September 12 to learn details, sign up, and to pay the $25 Mr. Brookwood pageant entry fee. The pageant will be held October 2 in the Theater at 7:00 p.m.

 

Interact Club, sponsored by the South Gwinnett Rotary Club, holds its first meeting of the year September 18, 2:20 p.m. in B32.
