9th Grade Parent Orientation meeting

on Thursday, August 21 at 7:00 p.m. in the Commons. We will discuss, academic support, daily schedules, extracurricular activities and strategies to ensure 9th graders' success. Translators will be available for Korean, Spanish and Vietnamese.

12th grade parent night, August 28, 7:00 p.m. in the Theater. Topics include: graduation requirements, college admissions and post-secondary planning. A rep from the Ga. Finance Commission will be on hand to discuss the HOPE scholarship and financial aid.

First PTSA Meeting & Open House

September 8, 6:45 p.m. Don't miss this once-a-year opportunity to walk your student's schedule, meet your student's teachers and see presentations on what they are learning in class.

Over the summer, members of the marching band (244 members in all!) attended camp at Western Carolina University to perfect this year's show Back to Broadway. You can check out the new show when the band performs it for the first time at half-time of the football game August 23.

A few on-campus parking spots remain for seniors and students enrolled in off-campus classes (where no bus is provided). Interested students must attend a meeting to review rules and safety. Cost for the meeting is $15 paid only by check to BHS. The meeting is August 12, 2:30-3:00 p.m. in the Theater.
