Prepare for Orientation
Brookwood has been named among America's Most Challenging Schools for 2014 by
The Washington Post.
Paperwork & contributions (including locker fee) will be handled online. Log on prior to Orientation Day.

Orientation Day is August 1, 8:00-12:00 p.m. for all grades.

What happens on Orientation Day?
  • Find your Guided Study location by checking rosters located near school entrances. Proceed to your Guided Study class to pick up your class schedule & receive a locker assignment.
  • Check your bus route in the Commons Area.
  • Join the PTSA at the PTSA table in the Commons Area & sign up for parent volunteer opportunities.
  • Pick up school supply lists posted outside each classroom.
  • Purchase shorts & shirts for PE classes in the Commons.
  • Visit the school store (B3) for spirit wear.

Extra help for freshmen & those new to Brookwood, August 2, 9:30-11:30 a.m. Bring your class schedule to practice walking from class to class & working lockers. Upperclassman Peer Leaders will be on hand to help.

September 8, 6:45 p.m. Don't miss this once-a-year opportunity to walk your student's schedule, meet your student's teachers & see presentations on what they are learning in class.

August 15.

 

12th grade parent night, August 28, 7:00 p.m. in the Theater. Topics include: graduation requirements, college admissions and post-secondary planning. A rep from the Ga. Student Finance Commission will be on hand to discuss the HOPE scholarship and financial aid.
