Broncos are set to enjoy Spring Break, April 7-11.

If your rising junior is very interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, Fine Arts and Math and does well in those subjects, Brookwood's new STEAM Cohort Program may be the perfect fit. Come find out more information at the STEAM Parent & Student Info Session on April 16th at 7:15 p.m. in the Commons Area. Does your senior have perfect attendance for Kindergarten-12th grade or 9th-12th grade?  Have him/her visit the attendance office (C1) to sign the sheet on the bookcase before or after school or during lunch. Names must be turned in by April 18.

Tickets for Project Graduation go on sale April 21 during lunches or online at www.mypaymentsplus.com. Project Graduation is an all-night party for graduating seniors at Dave & Buster's in Sugarloaf Mills, May 22, 11:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Price includes unlimited food & drinks, video games, bowling, pool tables & movies, plus $40 play card for redemption on games. Tickets are $60 during lunches before May 2 or $65 online. This event is sponsored & chaperoned by the PTSA.

 

Earn $50 for Brookwood when you test drive at Nash Chevrolet! Go to Nash Chevrolet & tell them you are there for Brookwood High. Complete both the test drive & the online survey. Bring your coupon up to Brookwood or send it in with your student. Please include your name & the name of the club or organization that you want the money to go toward. 

 

Students interested in parking on-campus next year must attend a class where rules & safety will be reviewed. The cost for the class is $15 (paid by check to BHS). Classes will be held April 28 @ 3:00 p.m. in the Commons, May 9 @ 3:00 p.m. in the Theater & May 13 @ 3:00 p.m. in the Theater. More info & eligibility requirements.

 

Upcoming Brookwood Relay for Life fundraisers.  First, April 13, when you order tickets online to the Gwinnett Braves, put Brookwood High School in the 3rd box at the bottom of the order form. Second, sponsor a luminaria at the Relay for Life event May 9-10 at Gwinnett Fairgrounds to honor someone who has battled cancer.  Search for Brookwood High School at this link.

 

Two Brookwood students will receive a $1000 scholarship from the BHS PTSA. Applications are in the Counseling Office (A1) & are due April 18.

Josh Ingalls & Miles Yapp finished #1 & #2 in the 1600 at the Gwinnett Co. Track & Field Championships. Both broke the meet record. Josh was also the 800 meter run champ. Miles was the 3200 meter champ. Bailey Vitatoe, cleared 6'10", making him the Gwinnett high jump champ. Girls team member Mackenzie Ellison is the 800 meter run champion. BHS Girls JV & Varsity & Boys JV brought home the county title. Varsity Boys took 2nd.
