During BRAT Week, March 24-28, students will learn about making good decisions. Fun & meaningful activities are planned around anti-bullying, social media presence & don't drink or text & drive.
Academics
Brookwood is taking a proactive approach to talking to students about creating a positive image on social media. Monday during lunches, students can visit the "selfie station", choosing props & a background to take "safe selfies" with groups of friends. These photos will be shown live on the big screen in the Commons. Later, a FBI Agent will speak with freshmen about internet safety. It's going to be a fun day with a serious message!
Parents can help protect students on the internet.  The whole community is invited to an informational session about "Crimes Against Children on the Internet" with FBI Special Agent Keith Kabrhel, March 24, 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Commons Area. The discussion will cover the criminal & legal aspects of posting something on social media that students might regret, plus the long-term effects for employment, college & more. He will offer tips for protecting students. We hope you will make plans to attend this timely, relevant event.

Progress reports go home, March 31.
