Both Brookwood Special Olympics Teams brought home 1st place ribbons from area competition. Twenty-five Bronco athletes will compete this weekend in the State Indoor Winter Games in Cobb County.

Parents & students are invited to explore the Advanced Placement courses offered at Brookwood @ an AP Information Fair, February 3, 7:00 p.m. in the Commons.

 

Students who failed Algebra I, Geometry, Biology, Sophomore Literature or Chemistry with a 60-69 during the first semester may register for Brookwood's Credit Recovery Program. Registration runs through February 4. Visit the counseling office in A1 for more information. This is a great opportunity for students to make up classes.

The PTSA will host a Brookwood Student Job Fair on March 17 @ 7:00 p.m. Contact Michelle Cormack by email to reserve a table for your business at the event. Tables have already been booked by a landscaping company, grocery store, restaurant and entertainment venue.

Athletics

Austin shaves the top, but leaves a ring around the sides. Not to be left out of the fun, freshman girls wear crazy costumes to school in the days leading up to the county meet. Everyone knows that Brookwood's swim/dive program has been a powerhouse for many years. When it comes to this tradition, "it's not crazy, if it works."

Bronco fact: Wrestler Thanh Nguyen is on his way to breaking the school record for the most takedowns in a season. He currently has 145 on the year with 4 weeks left. The record is currently held by Justin Rannick with 157 takedowns in a season.
