Katherine Read is one of the advanced theater students preparing for Night of the Living Dead. The show comes to the Brookwood stage October 10 & 12, 7:00 p.m. $7 tickets go on sale during lunches or in E1 next week. Tickets also available for $10 at the door.
Academics

In preparation for the upcoming legislative session, the House & Senate education committees are planning listening sessions throughout the state. Rep. Valerie Clark & Sen. David Shafer will host a listening session for our community on October 10 @ Georgia Gwinnett College. Details.

Mr. Brookwood organizers are asking businesses for donations to fill goody bags for the 25 contestants. Email Susan Thompson or call 770-310-4145 if you can help. The Mr. Brookwood Pageant is October 23.

In order to make Homecoming Court accessible for a large number of students, SGA is inviting any 9th-11th grade girl & any 12th grade boy or girl who is interested in being on the ballot for Homecoming Court to pick up an application. Applications are available outside of E1 and A200B today & Monday.  Applications are due by Tuesday morning at 7:20 a.m.

Volunteers are needed to help work the coat check at the Homecoming Dance. Spend a fun evening with the beautiful young ladies & dashing young men at the dance, while earning cash for Helping Hands & Hearts campaign for those in need in our community. Two shifts are available on October 26, 7:40-9:45 p.m. & 9:40-11:45 p.m. Email Tara Pannell if you can help.

Homecoming Dance tickets are on sale on www.mypaymentsplus.com through October 11. Students will need to print a receipt to swap for a ticket on October 16, 17 or 18 during lunch. Homecoming t-shirts are on sale for $10 through October 7 from a SGA member or Mrs. Hedrick in E1. Detailed info about the dance.

Softball

Sophomore Jesse Brown (on right) has been filling in at running back since his brother's knee injury in the Dome game. Jesse scored the TD in the win over Parkview & was named Fans Choice Player of the Week by the Gwinnett Daily Post.
