Pastor's Message
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6)
"Job Satisfaction"
The source of much of the tension and stress in our lives very often comes from our jobs.  If you're unhappy with your job, it's very likely that it could impact other aspects of your life.  The truth is that too often we put too much faith, hope and trust in our jobs.  Sometimes we think our jobs define us, but this could be the furthest thing from the truth.
We are much more than the titles on our business cards or whatever it is we do from 9 to 5.  We are mothers and fathers, husbands and wives, sons and daughters, sisters and brothers, church and choir members, culinary and sewing artists, poets and cyclists and most importantly we are children of God!
Sometimes our jobs are exactly that -- they are jobs.  Things that pay the bills; Things that we must do in order to pursue our true calling in life.  We must remember that the Apostle Paul had to pay his bills.  He was a tentmaker, and Jesus himself was a carpenter.
Perhaps God has you wherever you are to be a witness for him.  Whatever the case, no matter where you are, be grateful that you have a job - a way to pay the bills!  God told Adam a long time ago, "by the sweat of your brow shall you eat your bread."
So do whatever job you have to the glory of God, and let your light so shine before others that they might see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven!
Peace and Blessings!
