Immersing American College Students in Italy:
The Example of Service-Learning
Florence (and Tuscany in general) is flooded with American study-abroad college students every fall and winter/spring. But how much are they really learning about Italy when they're here? Come hear Nevin Brown discuss one way in which his organization (Siena Italian Studies) is immersing American students in Italian language and culture through the pedagogy of service-learning (and the surprising early role of the Episcopal Church)!
Nevin Brown is Senior Fellow at the Siena Italian Studies/International Center for Intercultural Exchange
Grab cappuccino and join us in the Undercroft at 10:00 AM.
