"Know Each Other / Know the World"
This coming Sunday, October 17,Tina Carrari and Diane Bailey will present the topic "Your Body, Your Temple."
"Your life is God's gift to you, what you do with your life is your gift to God." We respect our bodies as a creation of God and as a temple for the soul. Therefore, the foods we choose to eat, the activities we choose to participate in and the thoughts we think should all be congruent with this concept. When we are in prime health it is easier to feel positive, energetic, motivated and sociable. We naturally take better care of ourselves and others. Our talk will discuss the importance of posture, function and health. We will outline the difference between a healthy, flexible moving body and one that does not function comfortably. We will explain in layman's terms the corresponding brain chemistry changes that go along with misalignment, improper bio-mechanics and subsequent ill-health. We will end our talk with what people can do to help themselves and address questions from the congregation.

The Children's Library at St. James has begun a fabulous new year
The
Children's Lending Library was originally founded in 1973 to serve the
English-speaking community. Today the Library's fiction and nonfiction books
range from those for the tiniest toddler all the way to junior fiction with
videos, DVDs and audio books in English available for both adults and children.
At Halloween, Christmas & Easter we celebrate with a children's party
with seasonal crafts, games and homemade baked goods. The Library is a nonprofit,
volunteer-run Association located in the St. James Church building. We look
forward to meeting new families and always welcome new volunteers.
The
library is open from September to June on Sundays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and
on Wednesdays from 10:00 am to noon and from 4:00 pm to 6.00 pm.
