Christmas Toy Drive
Again this year, LSS is in great need of Christmas Toys. Toys are needed especially for boys and girls, ages 9-12 years old. The Toy Drive is an opportunity to offer these children and their families the warmth and joy of the winter holidays. Your gift will not only serve to make a child feel special, it will send a message to their family that the community does in fact care about them. Please join LSS by contributing to the Toy Drive, or consider making a donation to support the work of LSS.
LSS needs all gifts by Monday, December 5.
Staff is on site at the LSS office for donation drop-off Monday - Friday. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. or Sundays, 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. on December 4th.

Time for Advent Devotions "From Heaven Above" In this time surrounding the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, the beloved hymn by Martin Luther "From Heaven Above to Earth I Come" provides the theme for our daily devotions for Advent. Each day Pastor Michael Hoy "unwraps" a different gift that comes "from heaven above" through the birth of Christ.
Daily readings began 2 Sundays ago (however, it is not too late to start) and center on weekly themes of hope, love, peace and life. These are the divine gifts that were delivered to us in the holy Child Jesus, wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.
Booklets are available in the narthex or from the church office. They are also available for Kindle and Nook for 99 cents. |

Together We Give and Serve
Each week in worship we project a Bible verse while the offering is being received.
Last Sunday's Verse for Reflection:
Then celebrate the Festival of Harvest for the Lord your God. Do this by bringing some special gift you want to bring. Decide how much to give by thinking about how much the Lord your God has blessed you.
Deuteronomy 16:10
