Paperwork
Please remember to fill out the first-of-year forms in DocuSign as soon as possible. All parents must complete the online admissions forms if their child is starting/returning to Shepherd. All admissions forms required for attendance in the school, are due before your child's first day of attendance. If you have any questions, please contact the office at 818-347-6784.
First Day of School
Wednesday, August 31 at 9:30 AM
School begins with Chapel. All parents please plan to attend with your child. Following the service, the children and parents will go to the preschool room for a meet-and-greet with their teachers and a quick, fun parent-child activity.
Children will be dismissed early at 11:00 AM.
Back-to-School Night (Adults Only)
Tuesday, September 13 at 7:00 PM
This event is for parents and guardians (no childcare provided).
Back-to-School Sunday
Sunday, September 18 at 9:30 AM
Children are invited to Sunday School during the service.
Minimum Day
Friday, September 30 Children will be dismissed at 12 PM.
Director's Message
Wow! It's hard to believe that school is starting already, we are so excited to have you all back! The teachers have been working hard to get the classrooms in order and ready for the first day of school. They are looking forward to seeing all the new and old friends to get this new school year underway. I hope that everyone had an amazing summer and again we welcome you back!
The first few weeks of school will be filled with fun activities about getting to know each other, feelings, and friendship. It is an exciting time for our students because they will each have the opportunity to talk about what makes them special and share about their family. Each classroom will have a weekly lesson plan and this can be a guide for what has been planned for the week. Please check your email, parent box, and room information bulletin, in your child's classroom to make sure your child is not missing out on any special projects as they come up during the week. We love when everyone participates so that no child feels left out.
