SOV Annual Rummage Sale

Clearing out your closet? Downsizing your house?
Want to get organized?
Whatever your reason might be, if you have too much stuff, consider donating it to the Annual Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church and School Rummage Sale!
Items for sale include books, clothing, jewelry, CDs, DVDs, housewares, electronics, toys, children/baby items, linens, small furniture items, sporting goods, crafts and more!
Tax deductible donations of gently used items will be accepted at Founders Hall (next to office) from
Wednesday, April 27th through Friday, April 29th. *Drop-off hours are between 8:00 a.m. and 4 p.m.
*Late Drop-offs available on Friday, April 29th until 7 p.m.
*We will be coordinating a Free Donation Pick-up Service on Thursday April 28 - Friday, April 29
for bulky items. Please contact the office at 818-347-6784 to schedule a time for pick up.
We accept new and gently used items that are suitable for resale. We especially need clothes, shoes, blankets, towels, comforters and other linens.
All proceeds benefit a variety of programs and projects within Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church and School.
We also have many opportunities for you to earn volunteer hours for the school year. We need helpers to sort, price, set up, sell, and clean up. This is your last chance to earn FUNDRAISING volunteer hours!

Friday, April 29, 5PM - 7PM.
This invitation is only available to school and church families. Come and purchase items before the sale goes public Saturday morning at 7 AM.

FREE Parent & Me Classes in May

Join us in May for fun crafts and activities to do with your child. Every week we will be offering a FREE class with one of our outstanding teachers.
The activities are for children ages 3-5 years old, and parent must accompany the child.
Classes will be offered from
3:30 p.m. -4:30 p.m. on the following dates: Wednesday, May 4 - Garden Room Thursday, May 12 - Sunshine Room Thursday, May 19 - Blossom Room Tuesday, May 24 - Sunshine Room |

Luther Glen & Riley Farms Field Trip
| The 5th and 6th grade class took a field trip to Luther GLen and Riley's Farm last week. The students spent Sunday night at Luther Glen where they gathered fresh eggs, took care of farm animals, and played games. On Monday, they went to Riley's Farm to learn about and participate in a recreation of the 1775 Battle of St. George's Tavern. The kids shared so many laughs while learning outside of the classroom! They are a wonderful group of kids!

Preschool Art Show & Concert

The preschool students had their Earth Day Art Show and Concert last Friday. Founder's Hall was filled with amazing artwork including paintings, prints, photography, mixed media, collage, and drawings. We are very proud of our preschool artists!
