Service Projects for the People in Need

TAKE A BREAK FROM COOKING!

FUN FOR ALL AGES PLUS A MEAL!
You are invited to join us for a weekly meal on
Wednesdays beginning February 17.

We will be serving soup and sandwiches from 5:30-7 pm. You can stop in for your meal at any time. There is no charge (optional donations will be accepted the day of the event).

During this time, we will also be working on a variety of service projects to help those in need - including tying fleece blankets for the homeless and children in foster care, drawing pictures and writing letters of encouragement to shut-ins, and tying paracord bracelets for Operation Gratitude.

ALL AGES are welcome - no experience necessary!

If you have older children who need SERVICE HOURS for their school, this is a great opportunity for them!

A FLYER with this information will be coming home with your child on Wednesday.

For more information please contact Lisa Lambert at 818-427-5132 or by email.
"Havana Nights" Spring Gala & Silent Auction

Spring Gala and Silent Auction invite and dinner order forms will be going out this week. Please look for the online invitation in your inbox. Also, please consider becoming a sponsor for the event. You can get more information about sponsorship here.

This event is our most important event of the year, as it not only provides a terrific social event for our families, but also provides significant funding to special projects.

Families are requested to solicit donations from businesses they patronize. All donations need to be accompanied by the donation form. Donations are due no later than Friday, February 19, 2016, or they will not be able to be used in the event.

Attached are the Request Letter and Donation Form for our Annual Silent Auction. Please take the letter to your favorite restaurant, play place, store, salon, massage person, etc. and request a donation to be used at our event. We are a 501(c)(3), and donations are tax deductible. The more variety of items we have, the better the event will be.

Thanks in advance for your help!

School Family Referrals

As you may have heard, Pinecrest Schools will be closing all five of their campuses at the end of this school year. Do you know any families that attend Pinecrest Schools?

At Shepherd, we know that the best way to spread the word about our school is through the recommendations of our parents to family, friends, and neighbors. Please share your SOV experience with others, especially any Pinecrest families that could benefit from being part of the Shepherd family.

Shepherd is pleased to accept referrals at any time. With our open enrollment policy, students can be admitted throughout the school year.

If you know of any families looking for options for their children, please let us know. Thank you in advance.
