New Preschool Staff

On behalf of SOV, we want to welcome two new teachers to our Preschool staff!

Cristina Serrano - Blossom Room

Cristina is a full time student pursuing a degree in Occupational Therapy for children. She has over 3 years of early childhood education experience. Her career in early childhood education started 3 years ago when she obtained a job as a nanny. Cristina then had the opportunity to volunteer at The Help Group in which she helped children develop social skills and assisted the teachers in the classroom.
Cristina has also worked with children with special needs at We Rock the Spectrum in Northridge. She has always had a passion for working with young children.  She loves baking, crafting, and collecting stickers. Cristina also enjoys going to the movies and reading books.

Claudia Guillen - Garden Room
Claudia attended community college for two years then transferred to Mount Saint Mary's College. She graduated from Mount Saint Mary's College obtaining a B.A in Psychology with an Emphasis in Child/Adolescent Psychology. She was a volunteer at John Tracy Clinic for a year, where she met wonderful teachers and families. During her time at John Tracy, she became interested in Occupational Therapy. Claudia is in the process of applying to graduate school to pursue a master's degree in Occupational Therapy. Claudia has been happily married for six years. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her family. Claudia's hobbies include running, hiking, indoor rock climbing, and snowboarding.

Save the Date - Spring Gala & Silent Auction

On Saturday, March 5, 2016, Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran School will hold its annual Silent Auction.
This event is our most important event of the year, as it not only provides a terrific social event for our families, but also provides significant funding to special projects.

Families are requested to solicit donations from businesses they patronize. All donations need to be accompanied by the donation form. Donations are due no later than Friday, February 19, 2016, or they will not be able to be used in the event.

Attached are the Request Letter and Donation Form for our Annual Silent Auction. Please take the letter to your favorite restaurant, play place, store, salon, massage person, etc. and request a donation to be used at our event. We are a 501(c)(3), and donations are tax deductible. The more variety of items we have, the better the event will be.

Thanks in advance for your help!
