Welcome back from Thanksgiving break! We hope that each of you spent some quality time with your friends, families and relatives. Here are the event happenings for the month of December.
School Christmas Concert Programs
Wednesday, December 9, 9:30 a.m. - Preschool Program. Refreshments to follow in Founders Hall.
Thursday, December 10, 7:00 p.m. - TK-6 Program Refreshments will be served in your child's classroom.
The children are busy practicing their songs. Everyone is invited! Both programs will be held in the Sanctuary.
SOV Church Choir Christmas Concert

Grandparents & Retirees Tea Wednesday, December 16, 9:00 a.m.

Turkey Trot Thank You!
|
 Thanks to everyone who participated in our Shepherd of the Valley School Turkey Trot.
Congrats to everyone who ran, walked, volunteered, or cheered! A special thanks goes out to Erick Calderon for organizing the event and to all our excellent volunteers.
All the proceeds from the event will go to help update our playground space. The children truly appreciate
your support.

Registration Fee Reminder
|
The first installment of the registration fee ($100) for the 2016-17 year is due today, November 30. If you forgot about the registration because of the Thanksgiving holiday, you may submit it by tomorrow morning to avoid the fee increase. Thank you.

Gather, Learn, Share Event
hosted by the Vision Team.
Tuesday, December 1 at 7 p.m.
Our own Eloise Hallahan will demonstrate how to make traditional Norwegian Lefse in Founders Hall.
"Lefse is a traditional soft Norwegian flatbread. It is made with leftover potatoes, flour, butter, and milk or cream. It is cooked on a griddle."
You'll have a fun time, meet new people, and simply enjoy a new experience. Bring your friends!

See's Candies

See's Candy makes great Christmas gifts! Order forms are available in the office. The money raised will help offset the cost of the 5th and 6th grade trip to Outdoor School at El Camino Pines.
Order forms are due Wednesday, December 2.

Grandparents & Retirees Tea
|
Grandparents and Retirees are invited to join the TK, Kindergarten and 5th/6th grade classes for a short play, caroling and refreshments in Founders Hall on Wednesday, December 16 at 9:00 a.m. They are also invited to chapel at 8:30 a.m. before the event.

Preschool Palooza
 Remember to invite your friends and family to our fun and FREE Preschool Winter Palooza on Saturday, January 9 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. This is a great way to introduce our school to new families. This year's theme is "Carnival." Highlights include a bounce house, face painting, arts & crafts, story time, playground fun, and games and prizes.

Be an angel and donate to SOV in honor of your child. All donors will be recognized in Ewes News, and an angel with your child's name will displayed in the office. Help decorate the office and support SOV!

As always, donations are tax deductible! Simply write a check payable to SOV (please include the child's name you are honoring in the memo line) and send it to school in your child's folder. Thanks for your support.
