Our own Eloise Hallahan will demonstrate how to make the traditional Norwegian original, Lefse in Founders Hall.

"Lefse is a traditional soft Norwegian flatbread. It is made with leftover potatoes, flour, butter, and milk or cream. It is cooked on a griddle."

You'll have a fun time, meet new people, and simply enjoy a new experience. Bring your friends!

See's Candies
See's Candy makes great Christmas gifts! Order forms are available in the office. The money raised will help offset the cost of the 5th and 6th grade trip to Outdoor School at El Camino Pines. Order forms are due Wednesday, December 2.
Christmas Poinsettia

If you'd like to donate a poinsettia to help beautify our sanctuary for Christmas, please fill out an order form ($8 per plant), available in the pews, or contact the office.

It's that time again for the San Fernando Male Chorus to sing at SOV. Come see Ralph Mauriello and Carl Smith sing in a show called "'Tis the Merriest".
It features holiday songs, both religious and secular.  Ralph's solo is "Little One, Tiny One". Also he and Carl are in a quartet doing a comedy number, "Oh Little Town of Woodland Hills".

The Chorus was organized in 1957, for the purpose of promoting male harmony. The Chorus is a non-profit corporation, with no political or religious affiliations; just members from all walks of life with one common bond-- a love of male musical harmony.

Purchase your tickets from Ralph Mauriello. 100% of the proceeds will go to SOV.

How Stephen Ministry Works

The best way to understand how Stephen Ministry works is to learn about three groups of people involved in this ministry: Stephen Leaders, Stephen Ministers, and care receivers.

Care receivers are people-congregation members and others in the community-who receive care from a Stephen Minister. These are people struggling through a difficult time in life-experiencing grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, or some other life crisis.
Some important guidelines for this caring relationship protect both the care receiver and the Stephen Minister:
