Join Lutheran Services in our Annual Thanksgiving Food drive. If you would like to join our efforts, please give what you can, here are a few ideas for a bag of "all the Trimmings;" - can cut green beans
- can whole kernel corn
- can of chicken noodle soup
- can of refried beans
- box of white rice
- box of mashed potatoes
- box of turkey dressing
- box of biscuit or cornbread
- box of cake, cookie or brownie mix
- canned sweet potatoes
- canned cranberry sauce
- canned gravy
- can of fruit cocktail
Also, this Sunday, turkey vouchers will be available for purchase. If you would like to contribute please see Diane Jorgensen after church in the Narthex today or next Sunday, November 8.
You may also send a check marked "Thanksgiving" to Luthern Social Services, 21430 Strathern St. Unit A, Canoga Park, CA 91304.
We need all food donations/items before Monday, November 16.

Lutheran Social Services Toy Drive
Christmas
As in past, LSS will distribute Christmas gifts to their client families. Donations are being accepted for unwrapped gifts for children ages 2-12. Please bring them to the narthex no later than Sunday, November 30.

hosted by the Vision Team.
Tuesday, December 1 at 7 p.m.
Our own Eloise Hallahan will demonstrate how to make the traditional Norwegian original, Lefse in the SOV kitchen.
"Lefse is a traditional soft Norwegian flatbread. It is made with leftover potatoes, flour, butter, and milk or cream. It is cooked on a griddle."
You'll have a fun time, meet new people, and simply enjoy a new experience. Bring your friends!

The Stephen Ministers
Stephen Ministers are lay people-Christian men and women-trained to provide one-to-one care to people experiencing a difficult time in life, such as grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, relocation, or separation due to military deployment.
Stephen Ministers come from all walks of life. Their commonality? A passion for bringing Christ's love and care to people during a time of need.
Since 1975, more than 600,000 people from more than 12,000 congregations and other organizations have been trained as Stephen Ministers.
