Thank you to Lesley and Erick Calderon (Matthew - 5th) for hosting the wonderful PTF event, Fellowship Under the Stars, this past Saturday. Everyone enjoyed dinner and conversation. We are excited about all of the events planned for this school year and look forward to making this a great year!

School Announcements

PTF General Meeting

Friday, October 2, 3:00 p.m. The general meeting will be held in the Chapel after school. All parents are encouraged to attend. There will be free childcare available in Clubhouse during the meeting.

Used Uniform Sale

Friday, October 2, 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Used uniforms will be available for purchase in Founders Hall immediately following the PTF meeting.

Preschool Children's Rummage Sale
Saturday, October 10. Please consider donating gently used children's items for the sale (drop-off donations on Thursday, 10/8, or Friday, 10/9). All proceeds will benefit our preschool.

Minimum Day and Fellowship

Thursday, October 15. Students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. Fellowship TBA.

Fall Festival

Saturday, October 17. This is a major PTF sponsored fundraiser, so please consider sponsoring one of the events or donating items. Sponsorship packets will be sent home this week. More information coming soon.

Important Hot Lunch News - Effective October 1

Due to a decrease in participation of the hot lunch program, Henri's catering will no longer be able to provide hot lunch. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. You will need to bring a lunch for your child everyday of the week.
However, we will offer a pizza lunch on Thursdays.
The pizza lunch will consist of one slice or two slices of cheese pizza, a veggie and a small dessert. Sign-ups will be available on a monthly basis. You may pick up a form in the office or download here. There will be no same day sign-up for pizza so please plan ahead. Thanks!

Magazine Drive

Have a hobby or favorite interest you'd like to read more about? Choose from hundreds of magazine titles available through our current fundraiser. Order new magazines - or renew current ones - and support our school. Students are encouraged to ask family and friends to order.

Dates: September 22 through October 2

Kids Kreations Art Fudraiser

Our students worked on artwork in their classroom for our Art fundraiser. If you'd like to do an independent art project at home or have another family member who would like to create something for the fundraiser, please submit those by Friday, October 2 to Lisa Lee and follow these guidelines for best results.

Order forms for art items will come home soon so that gifts will be delivered in time for Christmas.

Preschool News

Preschool will be hosting a Children's Rummage Sale on Saturday, October 10 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Drop-off days in Founders Hall:
Thursday, October 8 from 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Friday, October 9 from 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

This is a great opportunity to clean out your closets and garage. Recycle items your child has outgrown or simply no longer uses, while benefiting Shepherd. New Class Coming to Preschool

We are planning to introduce a new class for our little ones beginning in November. This class will create more openings for preschool children of all ages. No-Sew Halloween Costumes: Tips, Tricks and Demonstration

Tuesday, October 6, 7:00 p.m.

Jennifer Jardine will lead a workshop in crafting no-sew costumes for children and adults. You are also invited to bring gently used costumes to swap with others or to give away to the needy.
