National Youth Gathering Blessing and Sending
The ELCA National Youth Gathering begins a week from today in Detroit! Youth and leaders attending from SOV will be recognized in worship this Sunday, as we bless them and send them on their way. In Detroit they will serve, learn, praise, pray and play together. The people of the congregation have made this trip possible with their financial support. You are invited to be in worship this Sunday to bless them with your presence and prayers.

 Hello Shepherd of the Valley,
We are getting excited for Day Camp! The camp is held on Monday, July 20 - Friday, July 24. We have some fun crafts planned and are looking for help gathering supplies for one of them. On Monday of Day Camp we will be making Lava Lamps in bottles, so we need clear bottles--these can be gatorade, powerade, suja or juice bottles as well as sturdy water bottles, etc. We need bottles that don't have permanent labels and that are easy to see into. Blue colored bottles or the thin Arrowhead bottles with ridges will not work. You may drop off bottles in the narthex or the church office.
Thanks for your help!
