Detroit National Youth Gathering

The Detroit National Youth Gathering team is so close to meeting their goal and would like to thank you for all your support!

This Sunday after service our youth team will give you
"A Taste of Detroit." You will see, taste and hear about some of Detroit's history. These are things they have learned as they have been preparing to answer God's call for service in Detroit this summer. A drawing will also take place, so please stop by and join us!

As part of our fundraising, there will be 100 envelopes with different denominations written on each of them. You are invited to make a gift in that amount. When all the envelopes are selected and returned with that gift, we will meet our goal!

We need lots of donations from your house, your garage, the closets, storage areas and even under your bed. You may be surprised by what you find and don't need!

Drop off will be Wednesday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m.

We need volunteers! Helpers are needed to sort, price, set up, sell, cashier and clean up. Please contact Pamela Merry if you can help.

Foundation Legacy Dinner

The Foundation Legacy Dinner will be held at Shepherd of the Valley on Sunday, May 17 at 6:00 p.m.

This event is held to thank those who have designated a contribution through the Church, School or Foundation through their estate plan. Such gifts would endow the work of SOV in the future. If you have made such arrangements, and would like to attend this event please contact Jan Garris at 818.348.8343.

volunteer hands
VBS Volunteers are needed to support kids in this learning adventure. Please prayerfully consider the gifts God gave you to use to help make this week a successful learning experience. We need station leaders to lead children in song and play; Bible learning, Games, Sports, kitchen, and drama. Also needed are volunteers to help  guide the children to each station. Both youth and adults are called to meet the" Everest challenge" by volunteering. If interested please contact Marlene Filsinger or Caryl Benner.
Summer Program & Vacation Bible School

The SOV summer program begins June 22 and goes through August 14. Registration forms are available.

VBS June 22-26, the theme is EVEREST...conquering challenges with God's mighty power! Your child will have a "mountain top" experience using their imagination, trekking through glacier games, singing at base camp, and taking Bible expeditions.

New for 2015: LRCC is providing two different programs this year. The Day Camp theme, "Go Fish," will be offered at SOV July 20-24. The on-site summer theme, "Anchored," will be at El Camino Pines, Luther Glen and Beach Campe. Your child can attend camp on-site and Day Camp and enjoy two distinct programs.
