November 9 - Challenged to Grow

This week's discussion will center on the women who supported Jesus out of their own resources as well as the one who anointed him. The reading in Luke 7:36-8:3 gives examples to us of followers of Jesus who grew in their understanding of and response to God's grace and forgiveness.

The discussion (by table groups) will again meet in Founder's Hall after the service and will conclude no later than 11:30 a.m. (You are invited to bring the study from your packet, but additional copies will be available.) Refreshments will be served in the hall and childcare is available. Everyone in encouraged to take part in this opportunity to reflect on how we are called, challenged, and sent by God.

Butter Braids

Butter Braids are still being sold to support the SOV youth group who will be attending the National Youth Gathering in Detroit 2015.

The Butter Braids come frozen, so they can be saved for the holidays or special occasions. There are five flavors to choose from and are $13 each. Please email Kari Van Meeteren to place your order. Thank you for supporting our youth.

SOV Webmaster Resigns

Georgi Gerwe, SOV's part-time webmaster and publication specialist, has accepted a full time position elsewhere and will be leaving us at the end of this week. We are sorry to see her depart, but are excited for her in the new opportunity this presents for her. We wish her all success in her new endeavor and send her off with our blessing!
