Giant Water Slide at Friday's Club House
|
Club House will help our students beat the heat on Friday after school by renting a giant, inflatable water slide. Please call the office by Wednesday to sign up for Club House. A minimum of 15 students is required.

Magazine Fundraiser Starts Today

Have a hobby or favorite interest you'd like to read more about? Choose from hundreds of magazine titles available through our current fundraiser. Order new magazines - or renew current ones - and support our school. Students are encouraged to ask family and friends to order.
Fundraiser dates: Today through October 2
First Deadline: This Thursday, turn in your reach-out booklet and first orders and earn tickets to spin the wheel

| PTF Movie Night |

Save the date! Come to SOV on Friday, October 3, for the PTF General Meeting and a movie under the stars (movie title TBA). The meeting starts at 7 p.m (childcare will be available) and the movie will start immediately afterward. Attend the meeting and earn a free dress day for your child.

Last week, Pastor Bryan told our preschoolers the story of creation.

| Kids Kreations Art Fundraiser |

Our students are working on artwork in class to be made into terrific items for our fundraiser. If you'd like to do an independent art project at home or have another family member who would like to create something for the fundraiser, please submit those by Friday. Instructions are coming home today.
Order forms for art items will come home soon so that gifts will be delivered in time for Christmas.

Spiritual Yoga Class
|
Improve your physical and spiritual well-being with Spiritual Yoga. Based on the book "Stretch and Pray" by Lutheran bishop and pastor, Murray D. Fink, the class will include 50 minutes of stretching for both your body and spirit.
The class is free and will meet every Tuesday (beginning September 30) at 6 p.m. on the Field of Dreams. No previous experience necessary. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat or thick blanket.

If you have a green thumb, please join the PTF garden committee. You will earn service hours while keeping our Anniversary Garden beautiful and sharing it with our students. Contact Lisa Lee if you're interested.

Recycling Thursdays
|
Remember to bring your recycling on Thursday. Please bring your aluminum and plastic bottles to drop off. No glass please. A parent volunteer will gladly take your recyclables. Money raised will benefit the fourth and fifth grade trip to Sacramento. |
