National Youth Gathering

Many of our high school youth will be attending the ELCA National Youth Gathering (NYG) on July 15-19, 2015 in Detroit.

The Youth Gathering is a triennial event that takes place over five days - Wednesday to Sunday - and includes opportunities for worship, service, fellowship, and study, along with lots of fun and theme-related games.

During the year, our youth will study Scripture texts that will prepare them socially and emotionally for the event, which will be a pivotal moment in their faith development. They will be participating in a monthly Bible Study at SOV designed to get them ready for the NYG.

They will also be holding a number of fundraisers to support their trip. Many thanks to those who attended last night's Hookburger restaurant fundraiser.

Upcoming events:

Spaghetti and Bingo Night Fundraiser - everyone is invited! Sunday, September 21, 5-8 p.m.

NYG Participant Bible Study - First Wednesdays of the month, 6-7 p.m., beginning in October.
