Work Party for All Parents This Saturday

This Saturday, our school is looking for volunteers to help prepare the campus for the new school year. Please join if you have time to spare:

7 a.m. Playground Prep

Bring your shovels and pitchforks to help spread sand and refresh the bark

9 a.m. Classroom Clean-up

Bring buckets and gloves and prepare to make the classrooms sparkle

11 a.m. Lunch and Fellowship for volunteers

Fees

The Service Activity Fee and Student Fee are now due.

Orientation

New student orientation for TK-6th grade will take place on Thursday, August 21 at 10 a.m.

Recycled Uniform Sale

*Drop off your unwanted uniforms before August 21 - donations are tax-deductible.

Recycled uniforms will be available for purchase after new student orientation on Thursday, August 21 at 11:30 a.m.

First Day of School

Wednesday, August 27 at 9:30 a.m.

School begins with a chapel service and all parents are strongly encouraged to attend and sit with their children.

Club House

Club House will begin the afternoon of August 27.

Hot Lunch

Hot lunch will be available beginning Tuesday, September 2. Please review the hot lunch form and turn it in with your payment by Friday, August 29.

Back-to-School Sunday

Sunday, September 7 at 9:30 a.m.

Children may attend Sunday School during the service.

Our preschool still has a few openings for the Blossom Room:

Tuesdays - 4 openings

Thursdays - 3 openings

Please spread the word if you know someone who is looking for a loving, caring preschool.

Our Sunshine Room is currently full and we now have a waiting list for admission.

As the new school year begins, we are updating our email lists. Last year's graduating families will automatically be added to our alumni list to receive occasional emails from Shepherd with important news and announcements of big events.

New Scrip App

Check out the new scrip-on-the go app, MyScripWallet, which makes it easy to purchase, reload and organize scrip on your mobile device. Take a tour of MyScripWallet and learn how to download the program to start shopping today! You must be set up with PrestoPay to purchase scrip online. Call the office for details on how to do this.

Labels for Education

Support our school by saving the labels and box tops from your grocery products.

Look for logos on packaging that say, "Box Tops for Education" or "Labels for Education." Then, simply cut out the "Box Tops" seal or the UPC code from the "Labels for Education" products. Bring them to the office and our school will redeem them for supplies and other necessary items.

You can also register your Club Card with "Labels for Education." This will allow you to earn points for our school. Just go to their website to sign up and select SOV as your school. Then look for coupons that are printed with your receipt at the store that will let you know how many points you have earned for our school.
