Twin Valley Assembly at SOV on May 7
The Twin Valley Conference Spring Assembly will be held at SOV next Wednesday, May 7 from 6:30 to
9 p.m. This event will involve interactive Bible study, a meal, presentations about how congregations, synods, and the ELCA make up interdependent parts of the same one church, and an opportunity to meet Bishop Guy Erwin.
If you wish to attend, please indicate on a worship attendance card or contact the church office. If you would be willing to help with set up, meal preparation and serving, or clean up, please speak to Pastor Bryan.

LSS Golf Tournament
On May 12, Lutheran Social Services will hold a silent auction during the Hal Manthei Golf Tournament dinner. If anyone has any tickets, gift cards rental homes/condos or other items you would like to donate for the auction, please contact Cindy Brown. |
Male Chorus Concert
The San Fernando Valley Male Chorus Concert will perform "Songs We Love to Sing" at SOV on Saturday, May 31 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $18 and are available from Ralph Mauriello - all proceeds go to SOV.

First Bibles
SOV continues its tradition of giving first graders their first Bibles. They will be received at church on Sunday, May 11. Contact the office for details.

Time to Clean Your Closets
Remember the rule: if you haven't worn it, seen it or even thought about it in the last year - donate it! Let someone else enjoy it and know how much you are helping Shepherd of the Valley Church and School.
Drop off rummage sale items Monday through Thursday, May 12-15, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
We need volunteers! Helpers are needed to sort, price, set up, sell, cashier and clean up. Please contact Pamela Merry if you can help.

Father-Daughter Pictures are Here
The Father Daughter Dance keepsake photos are here. If you attended this event and are not an SOV student, your pictures are in the office.
An order form for reprints and enlargements will be included. There are lots of photos to choose from (including portraits and friend photos) online at the jenreneephotography website. The password is love14 (no caps).
The deadline to order photos is Wednesday, May 7.

Sign Up for Summer Programs
Please remember to sign up for summer school at SOV! You only need to pay $30 to hold your spot.
Take a look at the summer calendar. There are separate programs for both preschool and elementary and a full week of Vacation Bible School for all!
