SFV Male Chorus Concert on May 31
Join us at SOV for the San Fernando Male Chorus concert on Saturday, May 31 at 7:30 p.m. Come hear Ralph Mauriello and Carl Smith sing in a show called "Songs We Love to Sing." The show will feature a wide variety of songs from different musical genres. The musical styles presented range from "The Anvil Chorus" from the opera Il Trovatore to the rousing Country Western classic, "The Wabash Cannonball." A highlight of the show will be an arrangement of "The Impossible Dream," created especially for the chorus by SOV's own Tommy Morgan. Yeah, that guy who plays the harmonica. Ralph's solo is the Frank Sinatra hit "My Way," and he will be in a quartet along with Carl Smith doing a comedy number originally sung by John Denver, "Grandma's Feather Bed." The Chorus was organized in 1957 for the purpose of promoting male harmony. The chorus is a non-profit corporation, with no political or religious affiliations, just members from all walks of life with one common bond ... a love of music. Tickets are $18 and when you buy tickets from Ralph, 100 percent of the proceeds go to SOV! |
