Tomorrow is free dress day for the children of parents who attended last week's PTF general meeting.

PTF Fellowship This Thursday

Please join SOV families at Red Robin in Calabasas this Thursday, January 30 from 4 to 9 p.m. A percentage of your purchase will be donated to our school. Make sure to present the flyer coming home in your child's folder. Don't forget to buy scrip. When you purchase Red Robin scrip this week, you'll be entered in a raffle to win two free dinners at Soup Plantation restaurant. Get a free dress day! Just bring your receipt to school from the Red Robin fellowship night and your kids get free dress (date to be announced).

See's Candy Orders Due Thursday

 The sixth-grade class is once again selling See's candy to raise money toward their trip to Outdoor School at El Camino Pines. The order forms are being sent home today and are due this Thursday in order to get the candy sent home in time for Valentine's Day.

Recycled Uniform Sale on Friday

This Friday after school, recycled uniforms will be available to purchase by the picnic tables. All proceeds go directly to our school. We have many gently used polos, sweatshirts, spirit wear, skirts, skorts, shorts and pants. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Tami Gaylord.

Pancake Breakfast on February 6:
All students and their parents are invited to the free pancake breakfast on Thursday, February 6 to reward 100-percent participation in the Read-a-Thon! Our teachers will be serving (8 a.m. for TK-6th grade, 8:30 for preschool). |
Father-Daughter Dance

Our annual Father-Daughter Dance is coming up on
Saturday, March 1 from 7 to
9 p.m. in Founders Hall. Girls in transitional kindergarten through sixth grade and their dads or significant adult males are invited.
Highlights include a professional DJ, dancing, dessert buffet, keepsake photo and this year's special jewelry charm. Invitations with more information and registration will come home soon. Cost is $40 per person.

Order Your Spirit Shirt

The 2014 spirit shirts are almost here! Designed by sixth-grader Aiden Work, the theme is "God's Work, Our Hands." Order forms are on their way home and are due back by February 4. $15 each.

Congratulations to the basketball team for winning their game against West Valley Christian 26-18. The cheerleaders were there to help keep up the winning spirit.
Thank you to Steve Fawcett (Elizabeth and Jonathan - 3) for repainting our basketball backboards! They look great.

Thank you to Heidi Smith (Sydney - 5) for taking students to the Anniversary Garden last week to work in the garden beds and harvest vegetables. They also got to make and eat special veggie muffins!
