GOOD COMPANY
Thanks to the many businesses and organizations that have entered the Festival of Trees so far this year. The Chamber organizes the annual Festival of Trees event as a community holiday celebration, a promotional opportunity for members, and a fundraiser for the Chamber organization. So far, dozens of businesses and organizations have submitted entries, and dozens more are expected. The auction of the entries takes place in 3 weeks, on December 4. NOVEMBER 18 DEADLINE FOR WORKERS COMP SAVINGS
Group rating is designed to allow employers of similar industries to "pool" their combined workers' compensation experience and file with the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) as one larger employee group through sponsoring organizations like the Chamber. Here's why you should request a free savings estimate from our group:
- Employers participating in the Chamber's group saved an average of $3,800 in premiums last year.
- There is no cost or obligation to apply and it takes only a minute - just go online at www.careworkscomp.com/groupratingapplication and complete the form or call 800.837.3200 extension 57129 or 57200.
- You will receive a premium savings estimate later in the fall and can make a decision at that time whether to participate in the group or not.
The deadline to apply for your savings estimate is November 18.
LOCAL GIFT PRODUCTS
FoodWorks Alliance is the food products incubator based at MCBI, and its clients have been busy producing delicious products that make great gift items. For the first time, FoodWorks is offering Holiday Gift Boxes full of local food products for sale. Not only does this allow our small businesses exposure, but also presents gift options for that special somebody on your shopping list.
