MORE LOCAL LISTS
Check out the illustrated lists about our community that are published at zmbrightspots.com and posted on our social media accounts. Our latest list is the first installment about locally made products. Previously, we shared lists of 8 Unique Small Businesses, 14 Great Views of Zanesville and Muskingum County, and 10 Reasons Why Zanesville-Muskingum County Gets a "BUY" Recommendation Right Now in the last two weeks. The interaction with these posts (clicks, likes, shares, etc.) on Facebook has been phenomenal. Our plan is to continue highlighting local attributes through lists like these posted on social media each week.

30 TEAMS GOLFING

The annual Chamber-Jaycees Golf Outing will host 30 teams on August 14, and you can affordably and effectively get your name in front of this group by being a hole sponsor for just $50. Hole sponsors receive a company logo sign, which will be seen by the 120 local business people golfing in the event, and are listed afterward in this newsletter. For more information contact Dana Matz at dmatz@zmchamber.com. The event will be held on Friday, August 14th, at Jaycees Golf Club.

ROCK YOUR BACK HALF

"Rock Your Back Half Number" is the name of a free webinar about how to grow your business in the last part of this calendar year. Several sales experts will be providing tips and advice on how to finish your year strong. Topics include The Five Fastest Ways to Develop New Business NOW, Pipeline Velocity, and Close Deals Fast with Referrals.

REX CHANGES DIRECTION

The Rockies Express, or REX, pipeline that was constructed through our area few years back is now flowing back to the west filled with gas from eastern Ohio. That was obviously not the plan when it was built, but Utica Shale gas production has changed everything related to energy in our region. Here's an article from the Akron Beacon Journal via the Ohio Oil and Gas Association about the REX pipeline's new direction.

DIGITAL MARKETING RESOURCE
The Media Network of Central Ohio - which is a Gannett organization and affiliated with the Times Recorder and other newspapers in the region - publishes a helpful weekly newsletter called the Digital Marketing Minute. You can find information on topics like content marketing, attracting millennials, and more.

GRANTS FOR EXPORTING

The Ohio Appalachia Export Grant (AEG) offers financial assistance for small businesses located in the Appalachian region to promote their products and services in international markets by attending domestic and international trade shows. The grant will provide a 50 percent reimbursement up to $3,000 per fiscal year for qualifying activities. The Minimum AEG reimbursement amount is $500 (50 percent on expenditures of $1,000). The grant is funded by the Ohio Development Services Agency in partnership with the Appalachian Regional Commission. For more information visit http://development.ohio.gov/bs/bs_aeg.htm.
